A peek into the Akai office

Here's a video of me and a couple of the engineers clowning around. We're excited because we just got the pad update we've been working on.

The new sensor is pretty sweet. No, the beat isnt serious! we're just goofing around, but you can see why we're excited. Pads are so awesome now! omg

Note we're in program edit right now, hence the funky green pad jumping around. That pad shows you which one you're editing in that mode, but it's off in main mode.

it was done with photo booth on the mac that was running the app at the same time, interestingly enough.

Haha the knobs and transport buttons being flipped seriously made me do a double take.

but whats up with the latency? fancy pads dont mean nowt if theres latency...you can clearly see you pressin pads and the sound coming once the finger is no longer on the pad

latency is under 2ms. pad lighting isnt as high a priority in the cue as audio and sample playing, obviously.
