Ive been makin beats for a few years now..finally having my su700,mpc500, yamaha cs2x and my korg electribe and the usual other stuff( mixers, turntables, monitors)and I am really diggin all of them, there is only 1 problem,

I dont have a proper soundcard with several inputs so I can't record multiple tracks at once , ive seen some tascam audio interfaces for like 400 euro or something like that and that gives me 8 or 16 tracks out I believe, thats more then enough for me! But I think 400 euros is a lot of cash so I want to ask you guys if I am doing the right thing here?

thanks a lot!

take a look at the m audio delta 1010 or the 1010 lite.

10 in and 10 outs plus midi and i think the lite is about $200

look for a used firewire interface. like a motu 828 mk2 or a presonus firestudio, something like that. if you look for something new the focusrite saffire pro 40 is a beast.
we had a similar topic on the german mpc forum, a guy came up with the saffire, looks great.
