My Triton Sounds Suck! Need Advice

I'm sick of having to tweak the crap out of the sounds to make them sound interesting. Any suggestions of other keyboards? I'm thinking of trading it in.

What kind of sounds are you looking for? What dont you like about the triton sounds? check out the post "Sound Modules for Hip Hop..." (in this same forum), got 14 replies about different modules.

Doesn't every company, including Korg, want you to explore there instruments. The preprogrammed sounds are usually made to give you an impression, I think.

Maybe a sampler would be an option for you. This way you simply find the right cdroms to get you started. Otherwise, go for the Emu Mo Phatt. At least it says it's for hiphop...

triton sounds have been called too "clean" you need to mess about with them a little to get the tone you want`!!!!!!!!!


Run it through the effects, adjust the parameters, layer the sounds to create new oneS!!!! use those user banks!!!!!!!!

A triton is nice, and if you run through the presets you can hear mad sounds from mad rap songs right there in the presets!!!!

If u can't tweak it ... go on over to irishacts and get some free Triton patches www.irishacts.com check the download section , also check the message board while u r there great tips on the triton. BTW What Model do u have

I use a Roland XP-80 with a BASS N' Drum CARD and HIP HOP Expansion CARD and find that I have to tweak sounds so they have my personal taste. Don't be lazy,....you have to put effort into creating a sound your hunt'in for.
