yeah, make sure u write down the numbers u used because I made this beat a while back with an aretha sample and I can't get that sad eerie sound I had when I try to recreate it on the mpc. I time stretched it and also pitched it

its used for when say i have a sample that is faster say 110 bpms and i make it 90 to fit in my song perfectly. if u go past 10 beats per minute faster or slower u will get artifcats that will make the sample sound unnatural and wierd. Its real handy and the mpc has diff algorithims that process the stretching diffrently, say low freq rhythm or female vocals. the adjust makes how accurate it is and in the manual it will tell u what setttings sort of achive what.

Lately I've been trying to experiment and do different things than I usually do (I've only been doing this like 4 months so I'm not super advanced). I've been chopping A LOT more and I find time stretch comes in handy often when chopping. Making peices fit better or whatever.

If you got the dough get Serato`s Pitch and Time it is tight as hell. Live or Recycle for long loops or chop your loops into smaller blocks 2 to 4 bars and timestretch on the mpc.
