Whatsup guys,

just seen this video and i noticed something interesting @1.48 seconds

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpZ8cuiYa7E

The producer (focus) tells the sound engineer that he needs a sticky hi-hat, the engineer goes to his PC and browses for a sound and when Focus presses the pad the sound is immediately loaded into his MPC on the pad.

How the hell did they do this :p would be freaking awesome to be able to browse your sounds on the PC and load them directly into your MPC.

Im interested to hear what you guys have to say about this

Damn, I just started to learn bass, and every time I see someone play like Focus was playing on that video I just want to give up.

You mean that he (for example) loaded up 'Battery' or some other VST/AU in his DAW and controls it with his MPC? (He basically uses his MPC as a MIDI-controller?)

Wouldn't say so, the 3K has an unique gritty sound i don't see why anyone would want to do that.

I think there is some different technique to this...

MIDI Production Center

That's what it's designed to do and it's very good at it.

He pulled up the sound and that was MIDI in action, Ark just told you.

He didn't have a hhat that he needed, engineer called up one, on whatever other gear, he instantly hit the pads and heard the sound, so it wasn't physically loaded into the MPC, it had to be MIDI triggered from another sound source.
