Thanks man, found a pair!

I wouldn't spend the money for their desks either (i tend to use cardboard boxes for desks...), but man, these stands are nice! Pretty happy with them! :D

very good. did you get the old ones or the new ones (iso stands)? if so I'm jealous.
where are you in switzerland?

I have no idea, haha!

I guess they are the old ones, i got them as "display model" from a music store for a good price. They might have been standing there for a long time (nevertheless, they are like new). To me they look exactly like the ones in your picture.

I'm about 20 minutes from zurich.

I need to rearrange this. It's not as functional as I'd like. Plan to get a big computer monitor... I've been searching for some tips on how to build a sliding tray sturdy enough to hold my MPK49 beneath the desk. then want to move my rack gear either to top of desk or to side rather than under the desk so its more accessible. sh!t never ends.

Are those the ikea shelving? If so, did you reinforce the shelfs in somehow to hold the weight of the records?

Thanks.

1. Yes Ikea Expedit
2. The expedit package include some mounting parts for the wall and ikea recommend to use it. I didnt cause I got baseboards in this room (to use the mounting parts the shelf need to touch the wall). But I used a ......damn how do you call this ......level.? water bubble level thing you know? and some extra layers of carpet on some spots under the shelf to get it as straight as possible.

But I also recommed to use the mounting parts if its possible. The expedit is stable but you'll never know. Even today. They always push down the production/material costs and so you might buy a shelf that just have a production error and crash when you put all the records in it.

Oh as you might have seen the 4x4 expedit didn't stand "free". One one side there is another expedit (2x4) and on the other side there is another shelf. So it really can't crash to the left or the right side as in these pics

Another thing you can see in these pics. The long boards on both of these 5x5!!! expedits are used vertically. I didn't find pics of crashed expedit with the long boards horizontally (on my expedits they are horizontally too).

Those pics both dudes had like 200 records+ being supported by 4 wooden dowels... The expedit is not meant to be set up that way. I have a 5x5 and its held out through 3 moves and a ton of records.

I got the expedits too stock full of records.. I think the ones shown above that collapsed were set up wrong. I've moved a gang of times and have had no problems whatsoever
