i read somewhere that the xl was better as a stand alone but they weren't to klear on why. I woulda thought it was the 1000 more ram jj and the hd option.

well the xl with the 8 outs expansion would have more outputs... that is about all though..

to me stand alone would imply that you dont use any other item but the MPC 2000xl to make beats. Well that's bull toiletries SON! you need atleast a turntable to get sounds in, otherwise you're loading them onto a floppy disk.. which would still need a computer so it's never stand alone. lmao
