AKAI FINALLY! what this means for music production.

1st it is incomplete,

2. you have no intention to buy it,

and 3 even if you get it you will have the same problems you had before with the 4k and maschine.

I figured you for the same cat named Monsta on the 4k forum lasted yr that came there with the same glee then negative yarns after less than two weeks on the unit that ran off for the maschine. If it not you then my bad I`m man enough to admit it.

That said you do need some ackrite cuz your ass it showing.

Because all of the Caps writing, diatribe writing and lack of solutions serves no purpose. You may have a lot of frustration. But it isn't the end of the world cuz you don`t like the color scheme (not scream) you can just wait another year or two for them to release a plus model in black, send the shit to Forat, or do it yourself with crayons who cares the color don`t have nothing to do with the music.

It is doesn't matter the last time Akai came out with a mpc as long as you can make music will the one you have. You act like the thing has to be perfect to your specifications to do anything with it. NO!!!!!! you are wrong it is all on you the user. Nothing is perfect in life you the user have to overcome it to have your visions realize just like the pioneers did with far less tools than we have now.

Simply don`t buy it. If you don`t like it now, then HOW are you going to like it later? It is really, really simple buy something else. No one owes you anything. It is your money go jump in a ditch who cares.

Coming from a man that claims to work with a maschine or any other software sequencer. This makes no sense why would you need a controller to have a external hard drive when the actual project files, sequences, and plugins are on the computers hard drive?????? We all know you only need to get an extra external usb hard drive connected to your computer to put all the samples, projects, and songs on there. The hardware is just an controller of the software like the maschine pad controller to the computer software.

This would drive up the cost of the whole package to add that for what? This is just what I`m talking about you make no sense.

Ren is a total package an integrated computer software with a dedicated hardware interface for playing and controlling the midi inputs and audio outputs.

If you don`t understand this most basic of functions you are really barking up the wrong tree. It would`t be for you. A used mpc would be your best bet like a 5k or 25K.

Like I said if you don`t even understand how it operates it is apparent to all but you that it isn`t for you. Get a used MPC or MV8000, or fruity loops who cares as long as you can make music with it everything is on you not the machine.

Hard drive is memory but the computer is your cpu which is going to drive the sequencer. You can get a used laptop as your main cpu to drive your Ren sequencer and use external hd to store the data aka sequences, songs, sample banks, and the other whole nines.

Previous mpcs are the same in the sense of a dedicated cpu to drive the sequencer and the they had basic ram memory to store the samples on with the program as the sequencer ran. But we all know we had to expand the ram for having more samples in the program for the sequence and added more memory aka hd in the 1k and units above to use to store the songs and sample banks we saved.


A computer cpu is way faster, capable, and accurate than the inTel cpu processor I got running in my 4k one of the most powerful mpc engines ever. And of course the modern computer can store Terabytes of memory that my soft sampler based libraries already in the gigabytes can load with ease. No way could I load such a library in my 4k.

The thing is that computer sequencers as powerful as they are using the advanced cpu and resources of the computer aren`t not as intuitive as the classic mpc for sequencing for most part for my personal usage. Maybe because I`m so used to the mpc workflow. However I do try to learn my logic and ableton sequencers to have some control over them.


I work with soft synths, soft samplers, and other gears in my daw a lot these days and the emulation of my plugins are very much realistic as the hardware equivalent for classic gears like my artuira jupiter, rhodes emulation, and 808 banks with added tweaking and effects.

My point is the user can do pretty much anything with software if they are incline to engineer there sounds because once you track it out into your daw of choice that is exactly what your mixer or engineer will be doing for you in the box.

If you don`t like it don`t buy it. You really believe that they are going to change one of the popular items that 80% of the buyers are ok with it and can see the potential and one crackhead on the pipe is all twisted up on something he does`t even understand? Do you really think that?

By the way yes you have disrespect a lot of folks on here so you get little since half of the things coming out of your mouth makes no sense. You ackrite then people will try to at least explain the why.


It is a new machine because it will operate with a computer cpu not a small cpu so it doesn`t have the limits of previous mpcs. If you cared so much for the lights ask if they could be turned off as a option or you could replaced the pads without yelling?

Personally I think the lights are fine and even better than maschine that doesn`t make me or anyone @@@@@@@@.

It isn`t for you get something else.
