Reaper 4 released

Yeah im gonna give wavesaur a go see what thats like. In audition you can run effects chains and modulate some or all of them as the track is playing back i havent found anythin as smooth or easy to use yet thats the main reason id shell out the dough for it. Does reaper do something similar

I've been experimenting more with Reaper. Tracking out my MPC always comes out flawless, and it handles my VSTi's smoothly. The audio quality is great, and so is the customizable GUI. The MIDI editor is easy... most everything is fairly intuitive and it's been far more trouble-free than any DAW I've ever used. It's rock solid and well worth the $60. I'm buying it as soon as I experiment further to push the limits.

Yeah that's definitely a major factor for me. My workflow is much better because of that.

Reaper is hands down the best DAW out there. Idk why more people arent on to this yet??

Hello NYM. You ate absolutely correct. I was and am ignorant when it comes to REAPER and it's resources. That is part of the point of our discussions in PENSADOS STUDENTS. I an glad that I came across this post. Now I have a clue about REAPER and how some people perceive what is going on in P. Students.

NYM I wish you would join the FB group. You would be a great addition. I often play devils advocate. More things come to light when I do. If your response would have been posted in the FB group I would have been all smiles because people are in there wanting to learn and grow. Your post would have helped.

MARTIAN you have misrepresented me. The whole demeanor is wrong. Hopefully by this time you have realized it. Please pay closer attention and fully read what is going on if you do not already. I could not care less about a companies marketing. I noticed something when I used DRE BEATS that I had never noticed when recording so I stated it. The way you have represented me, me mentality, attitude...etc is incorrect.

I'm thinking of getting Reaper 4 and using it as my recording software after I make my beat in FL Studio 10. I want to know if anyone has any thought on that. I wanted to stay in FL Studio 10 when recording my vocals, but we all know that its not the best way because it doesn't multi-track record. So... I'm choosing Reaper. I wonder if anyone has any thoughts. Only drawback i see is that I cant change the beat after its all tracked out in Reaper.

Oh. I'll have to tinker with it more then. I just hate the way it recorded in FL Studio 8. I havent really tried in 10 to be honest.

im not a fan of it either.. but it isn't too bad for things like recording entire mpc songs with the 8 outs or something... i still would prefer to use reaper instead for that.

I am trying to record vocals. When you record vocals, most people use a bunch of different tracks (at least 4, 3 verses and a chorus). I think Reaper might be better at that than Fl Studio.

the only reason why is because in my very short limited experience recording mics and external gear into fl.. you had to arm all the tracks you were going to have... then record. Then after pushing stop again.. you would need to re-arm them again.. once you have it set up it takes a couple of clicks and 10 additional seconds instead of just clicking record again to continue recording. also the thing is you currently need to choose where to save the files you are about to record etc.. those setup things get in the way IMO...

but at the end of the day when it comes to building full songs and arranging internal stuff, VSTs, and audio clips.. I prefer FL to most other daws I have used because of the flexibility.

Dog, I have to reserve judgment until I learn how to use Reaper. So for now, I'll try Reaper for vocals and FL Studio is and probably always will be my weapon of choice for making beats.
