S950 Mute groups

Hi all,

I just bought a Akai S950. I'm going really well with it but still got one issue I can't solve myself.

I checked google, this forum and tutorial videos, but somehow I can't find it. Maybe wrong keywords So I hope someone can help me through this

I have recorded all the samples. (1 Sample, Kick, Snare, Hihat). They are on my 2000XL MPC on A1, A2, A3, A4. For these four samples I created keygroups 1-4 on my s950. Now I tried to record: Hit the hihat but this is cutting off every other sample as snare, Kick, sample itself. I can't find the command on the S950 which is mutting everything off. Every keygroup I have set to Output 1. It may be that one, but if I put every one on a different one I don't get any sound at all.....

Please can somebody help? Much appreciated

mute groups is when it goes to the same single channel output
use the stereo output

Thanks a lot! That worked fine. But I now have another problem when I set it up as all.
When I hit the Hihat on the MPC is not playing everytime, doesn't matter how hard I hit the pad.
Other problem is I can't play it mono, means if I hit the sample twice, it's overlapping the same sample.
I know the mode on the MPC but not in the S950.

you only have 8 voice polyphony on s950, ie you can only play 8 sounds at the same time...for the momo problem u use the individual out....

Use the mono mix out. If you have the equipment, also use the 8 individual outs.
Avoid the left/right outs.

e.g. Set it up like this:

Output 1 - Kick
Output 2 - Snare
Output 3 - Closed Hat, Open Hat
Output 4 - Sample 1
Output 5 - Bass
Output 6 - Sample 2
Output 7 - Sample 3
Output 8 - Sample 4

Only the hats will cut each other off in this setup.
Use the same output with samples that you want to mute/cut each other off.
