I know alot of you guys probably play keys. (stereotyping) I myself play guitar, didgeridoo, turntables.

Just purely for statistical fun what do you use besides an MPC?

seems like bass, synth, keys, brass, would be a common answer.

of course you use turntables so don't say that

I play keys.. (simple chords)
Guitar, also not very advanced but I know many chords and am very creative at creating my own licks/tunes/loops.

But also, and this one is most fun, Blues Harp!

I have 3 harps,

Hohner Special 20 and 2 other Hohner Blues harps.

Key B, Key C and Key F.

I hope you do not let any women touch your man stick there godXbOmb!!
Being the common belief held by some tribes of Aboriginals here in Australia.
I am teaching my self keys. Can play bass guitar and guitar. I can Dj pretty good and can scratch well to. not quite beat juggling though. That would mean a lot of practice but yeah can do a little already. Can can bash out a groove on the old trap kit as well (drums). Yeah never got into wind instruments. I can play recorder though, we all had to learn that at school. maybe turned me off wind instruments. I hate sax solos as I am from the 80s to, so maybe that why as well. I can play my MPC real good to. :)
O yeah bongos, thats fun to play, and congas. I can play tomborra as well but thats easy, its got 4 strings and no frets, its like bass guitar version of Sitar.

I started playing music with bass guitar (both fretted and fretless). So I consider that my main musical instrument, the most instinctual to play.

I also play guitar and I dabble with organ and harmonica. Hohner marine band variety sound pretty badass through a tube amp.

Can I hit you up for some of that awful violin playing some time. Makes for nasty sound design, good for when you need some thing wrong or awful or crazy.

Bass (electric/contra) 1st primary
Drums: 2nd primary
Piano: 3rd primary
Guitar (and most other stringed instrument with a little time to warm up)
Samplers
Turntables
Consoles

Can't play horns or winds, and don't really try to.

Primary = professional competency. Reading charts, playing changes, improvising and technical precision/feel. Adept in both studio and live settings.

Everything else I have studio competency with, in that, I can play those instruments well and write parts respectively for each, but I wouldn't play with them live unless I needed to.

Drums all through middle/high school. I played marching snare in the drumline and also studied jazz. While I hated "band" class in school, I wish I had dedicated myself 100% like the "nerds". I am forever grateful for the skills I did manage to pickup though, such as reading/writing music and rhythms out. I should have taken music theory in high school. Live and learn?

Also, after high school, I learned to play bass and piano(lessons on piano). This is really all I can do right now. I did get a technics 1200 and got ok at it(it's a harder version of marching snare in my opinon, very similar instrument when you think about it). Sold these for a new drumset, which I rarely use since it's at my parents house. That was a mistake.

I'll bet I'm the only one here who does, but I play the recorder.

And no, not what everyone does in 3rd grade. I've been playing for like 9 years...

Still haven't used it in any songs yet. :)
