DO NOT VOTE FOR YOURSELF

This rule (or suggestion) is really silly, because would be easier to suggest all the contestant to vote themselves instead, then it would be all fair (and less drama). If a contestant want to vote other than him.herself, that's his/her choice.
I've never seen the rule in real life, that's way I am pointing out.

If you if think only contestants will vote, then you should update the PHP codes for the voting system, so that contestants can only vote for others.

(Note: I am not contestant)

i've not skipped any track
listened to all the tracks entirely

Me too, there was alot of beats that took a while to warm up before the gems were dropped. Some started off dope then left me dry by the middle.

All I can say, that after a while of listening, you kinda get sick and tired of those intro horns on every beat

Honorable mentions go to 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 22.

Hmm somehow I had missed 27 before I voted... thought I had listened to them all... :|

Yeah, I would have voted for 27 though.

Also: suggestion for the next battle:
This would be harder to keep track of the voting (as in not directly supported by forum software I think) but it might be better if each voter ranked their top 5 favorites. #1 gets 5 points, #2 gets 4, #3 gets 3, etc., and the highest score entry by the end wins. Those point values are arbitrary, anything that would make a #1 choice higher weighted than lower choices wold do. This should make it so that it's not just say 4 votes against 3 in the end. Might make for a better gauge of which beat people like.

After listening to the tracks this stood alone I liked the flip like some primo shit but it was really close that's why they were place next to each other the people on the top had it before I heard that one.

I voted for 26 in the end. It's by no means the best production or the fattest (far from it), but whoever made it has a good grasp of arranging and kept it simple but interesting. I'm guessing Shank made this one or someone with a similar style.

Special mentions...

4 - Clean and fat! The arrangement was a bit too aimless for me though... it just ticked along without any real variation. Nice work though.

8 - Sweet drums. Very quiet though (not a biggie), but the stop button ending killed it for me. With a lot of quality on display it's the little things that lose points.

14 - I don't know where you got the samples from but they didn't sound like the same track I sampled! I love the vibe of this track though.

18 - The drums are a bit harsh, but the bass reminds me of old Cypress Hill shit! Nice.

22 - Timing issue aside, this is an inventive track. If the third groove had been arranged properly for the full two minutes I would have voted for it twice! I think Ark did this one.

23 - This has got Hellfire written all over it... or maybe number 4? Chunky, solid arrangement... get's the job done!

That's just my edited highlights. Plenty of other good stuff happening on the other beats. Nicely done fellas. 8)

Too much fun! :D

My top 3 runner ups were:

22: The third beat on this was absolutely bad ass. Ran way over the 2 minute limit though

21: Won the 'different' vote for me. Nice different vibe here and I liked the bass line.

15. At first I was like "oh f**k, not those horns again", but the three stage progression of the beat worked. The third part after the breakdown really stuck in my head.

My winner was:
8: This beat was really smooth and the change ups kept me interested all the way through. It felt like the song was going somewhere. My only complaint is that when it did return back to the opening groove, it stopped abruptly.

I skip within 30 seconds if i'm not feeling it. With a 2 minute time limit why would you start with a slow intro if your flip is fire?

My shortlist is 3,4,7,11,16,21,24 and 25.

24 was one of the best minutes I've had in while yet 7 got my vote as i voted on the best head nodding hip hop jam.
