Ren vs 2500 with jjos

if you could start from scratch what would you choose, knowing how the 2500 already functions, and not knowing yet how well the Ren will do..

I don't know how mpc ren will be, but i know that it can't work without computer. Cause of this i would take mpc 2500.

One of the reasons I got a 2500 is that it doesn't have internet. I can work without distractions.

Then again some people like stuff like that so it all comes back to different strokes for different folks.

JJ's level of stability and support will be hard for Akai to match.
I just hope Akai isn't just doing what they always do which is increase their presence at release of a new product then disappear.

I still suspect that even if Akai has managed to get things right the Studio will be around longer than the Ren.
Lots of things about the Ren don't make a lot of usable sense and are more hype oriented.
Then again in today's world that seems to be what sells. :roll:

With the exception of the vintage output modes, I can't imagine what you are talking about exactly as you give no specifics. Nearly everything I have seen thus far in the Ren have been features found on current and legacy MPCs. I personally can't find one advertised feature that isn't usable.
