since the Ren is its own audio device, will it be able to sample the computer internal audio?

(for example, I have a movie running on my PC, and I want to sample a dialogue or anything else, or I'm playing a MP3 and I want to sample it, or a youtube video running in background)

will we just have to set something like "record from: internal" or will we need a separate audio interface and plug its outs to the ins of the Ren?

while using the Ren software, can we ONLY use the Ren as an audio interface, or can we tell the software to use whichever audio interface we have plugged in instead of the Ren integrated audio?

instead then the classic "play start", "play end", ... it would be great if we could have this (taken from JJOSXL):



maybe instead of 200ms, make it 1sec?

+ one pad for reverse loop
+ one pad for reverse one-shot

the rest of pads for one-shot, and for looping the highlighted part of the sample.

and...
1 button for zooming in and 1 for zooming out, with the focus on what it's highlighted in that moment (start point or end point)
and...
1 button for maxing out the soundwave form (and 1 for minimizing it as well). This is another feature of JJOSXL that comes in handy to visually enhance the waveform to see its details and place starting and ending points

do you (Dan or Andy) think these features can be added? they are basically only enhancements to the classic MPC workflow, so they wouldn't be alienating for old users, and trust me... once you have tried them on the JJOS, it's hard to go back to the old way!

i like that beat but i dont like your drumz ,, they dont have that 12 bit punch .. ii mean ya drums are cool just they dont hit .. and neather does mine .. atleast not yet lol

I have an XL too! I love it. That's what I started on. I learned on my boys 2000 classic, but the XL was the first one I ever owned. It sounds great. I have a cf reader in mine too. But I don't have the 8-outs or efx. I'd get the XL over the 3000 just for the wavform chopping, more sample time, timestretch, and more programs. But if you have another MPC newer than the XL, I'd get the 3000 over the XL just to have. $600 is good for a maxed out XL with CF tho!

He uses a 1000, but also got Maschine about a month ago. So this beat could possible have been done on Maschine since it's a fairly new upload!

But if you have another MPC newer than the XL, I'd get the 3000 over the XL just to have. $600 is good for a maxed out XL with CF tho![/quote][/quote] ok thx man .. i used the mpc 2000xl i didnt like how thin the drumz sound on them .. then i got the mpc 2500 and it was worse .. then i got the ni maschine and and even worse .. so now im back 2 analog .. i just never used the mpc 3000 b 4 .. and if cycus got his drums 2 sound like that on a mpc 1000 . i will shot my slef lol .. i never used the mpc 1000 thoe .. so idk

Monsta i don't know about the 2kxl having a weak sound, I love the sound that my 2kxl used to produce. Maybe its YOU. I mean drums don't just knock right out of the box ya knw, you gotta layer, layer, layer, eq and tweak the small things to get that knocking thick sound you want.

maybe it is me idk .. maybe not . can i hear how your drumz knock .. im not beaing funny . i wana hear ? .. and thiers a reason why the mpc 3000 is 1600 used and the mpc 2500 is 900 used . and the mpc 2000xl is 500 used ect .. and the mpc r has a bit crusher .. nyce try man .. why does dre have 5 mpc 3000 .. ?? so u telling me im crazy lol well my doctor said i was but thats besides the point lol .. so plz post a link of your drumz thats knock and what u used them on .. so u telling me the numan u/47 is just a mic and its me and i can get that warm sound with any mic lol come on bro .. are u telling me a piano player cant play cuzz he dont like the sond of a vst .. its all in his head ??
