Are there different CD-M25s out there ?

Hi,

According to this link

the CD-M25 is the CD writer for both MPC2500 and MPC5000.

However, links like these:

mention that the CD-M25s sold there are only suitable for the MPC2500.

Can anyone shed some light on if there really are different CD-M25s out there ?

You probably can use any CD player if you know how to solder the pins to set it to master, but cop it from vstservice.com. They'll hook you up with a 5k CD/DVD player.
