Hi,

I'm using JJOS XL 2.30 on a MPC 2500SE.

is there a way to copy a track from sequence A to sequence B including the track parameters as track name, track type, midi channel ... ?

Thanks in advance! :)

regards
Higgie

seq edit will copy the data, but i think you have to manually re-input the track name, type, and channel (i wish you didn't)

Hi Nym,

thanks for your reply!

What a pity! :(

As I'm always trying to keep everything tidy, I mostly try to use the same track names and parameters over all sequences in a song. Hence it sometimes is a PITA if you have a large number of sequences when you just want to add a single track to all of them.

It would be great to have some more advanced copy functions in the seq edit of JJOS. ;)

BTW: No disrespect! I absolutely enjoy working with JJOS. Besides the MPC itself it was the best money ever spent. :)

regards
Higgie

same here, exactly. from seq 1 - seq (end of song) my tracks are named the same thing everytime.

the good news is that you'll get quick at typing with the pads! i type with pads faster than i text

That would be a good request.

Old thread but I was only going to end up neigh on duplicating this.

Is this possible yet? I also like everyone here use the same tracks all the way through all sequences.

So Im looking like the OP stated to be able to copy a track from sequence A to sequence B including the track parameters as track name, track type, midi channel?

Ideally just select the correct sequence and apply to all other sequences, or even apply to one other sequence and just do it manual for all.

On Sequence field in main: press window > copy params
and
you don't absolutely need "same tracks all the way through all sequences" for song to work or convert fine when built with different seqences, but in that case you would have to tell to machine which program to use on which track on every sequence by inputting Program Change.
