yeah definitely. but it aint gonna be $199 to download, i'm sure. just not sure if i should hold out or not. but i may end up buying Mainstage 2 for $30. Hopefully any reported ReWire issues have been taken care of by now.

Nothing good as far as ReWire between Mainstage and Reason 6. So that's $30 better saved for Logic. I've been messing around with Garageband for the guitar amp and stomp boxes, and I like what I've tried so far. Upon reading the benefits of "upgrading" to Logic, as well as discovering the new ebook Tutor just released, I believe I'm definitely making a smart investment.

This definitely completes the new home studio setup without a doubt now! :D

I've recently started to use Garageband, just as a virtual instrument (I don't use sequencer and recording function.) I started to learn piano by myself, with book, MP3 and DVD.

I have Logic 9 Express as well, but the GUI is just too much for me to use (since I'm not using it for producing songs, simply just want to use VST) and it takes too long to load. And it seems unstable.
I like Garageband, but I wish that I could use pianos on Logic express on Garageband (is it possible?)
I want to use "Yamaha Grand piano" in Logic, on GarageBand, is it possible?

GarageBand will work with your VST/AU effects and VST/AU instruments. I'm not sure if the instruments in Logic will show up. But if it doesn't work like that, MainStage 2 may be exactly what you're looking for, and only $30 at the App Store.

Umm, I cannot find info on how to add VST/AU instruments to GarageBand. Maybe it cannot be done, or at least not openly supported.

I think you're right. But I know it'll load up AU effects... maybe not instruments. MainStage 2 should do all that.

Yeah I feel you on that Komplete 8 (ultimate tho :D )

Want it but cant afford it.

I recall spending $1000 on Logic Studio i think when I bought my first mac (the first Intel one i think)... I was going from bootleg PC version of Logic (final version before Apple bought it) to legitimate Mac version. big man. :D Happy. a couple months later the damn price was dropped to $499 pretty much for good. :(

so getting your legitimate Logic weight up for $199 is most certainly a huge come up man. congrats :)

I still haven't taken the plunge yet. But for all my needs, I most definitely will.
Reason 6 is awesome, But there's no MIDI OUT. So I can't track and sync my x0xb0x. I tried Ableton Live Lite since it came free with my new audio interface. But unfortunately it's only 32 bit. I can get the job done with Reaper, but I honestly don't wanna pay $60 for a Mac OS Beta... no thanks. Still feels too Windows-centric in many ways that tell me not to bother. All the guitar pedals and amps in Logic already justify the cost on top of having MIDI OUT, ReWire 64, and some good VSTs. Yeah I gotta do this and not bother with Cheaper... I mean Reaper. Logic is clearly the missing ingredient here in the lab and definitely next on my list. :)
