i'm using a 2500 to sequence an asr-x but what i want to do is make the beat on the mpc then resample into the asr-x which i can do easily

my problem is i want the pad banks to match up in order the asr-x pads

but they don't

when i have a kick on a2 it matches some asr-x pad in octave 4 or sumthin

now i tried to adjust this in the midi sync button but when i hit a pad on the asr it still goes to some other pad out of order on the mpc

is there a way to change this so i can have pads 1-13 in octave 1 on asr-x match up to pad bank a 1-16 (actually 1-13) on the mpc????

if you go into program edit on the mpc, the first screen 'assign', you can set which midi note number each mpc pad spits out. you can then set mpc pad 1A to output the same note number that the first pad on the ASR uses.

edit: originally gave you 2kxl directions...
edit2: i got curious so i checked the 25k manual (page 90)...
go into program edit, choose which program.
hit a pad.
hit the 'note' button.
keep hitting the pad and scrolling the numbers until the correct pad on the asr fires.

you can probably do this on the asr as well, changing which note number each pad receives on, but choose one machine to mess with, and then just mess with that.

i would recommend once you got it in the mpc, save this program without any samples as a 'template' program. then, when you want to do it on a new program, simply load this template and start working from there.
