Im having a problem with my MPC 2000xl, the problem is everytime i go to load a program up it starts to trigger my keyboard. When it starts to load files, everytime it goes to a new file it triggers my keyboard and it starts to play sounds. Even when im going through programs to pick it triggers my keyboard. And yeah its a card reader install in it. Can anybody tell me what is going on, i would really appreciate you all help. thx

what do you mean it triggers your keyboard? you have one connected with midi or something?

Yeah i have my keyboard midi up to my mpc out of the mpc going to the in of the keyboard and out of the keyboard going into my mpc. what i mean is if i had my keyboard on a piano on channel 1 and i went into my mpc to load a drum program. When it start to load it up and its going through individual drum sounds loading. it sends midi signal to my keyboard it starts to trigger it.

hmm, odd... maybe it's happening when you load a sound and it selects a default midi note to assign the sample? is that possible?

well I dont know exactly, but when choosing to load a sound and you get to the cancel/keep stage.. at the bottom of that opened window you might see something along the lines of "assign: pad 4/#:48" or something like that... or if you scroll the jog wheel to the left.. you should get the option "none".. maybe if you choose that it will stop doing it? I am not sure, I have never had this issue...

also, maybe before going to the load screen, scroll over to a new sequence that doesn't have midi enabled to external gear yet...
