I bought that online handbook but it's telling me that I need an audio interface, but I see videos on YouTube of people using reason software as a sound module without an audio interface. So is it possible to do it with the audio interface... Can someone give me a step step way to set it up with an audio interface ?

midi your axiom to the mpc, go thru "advanced midi" section in reasons (setup in properties pull down menu & on device in the rack).... assign device in reason to midi channel, assign proper midi channel on mpc track, enjoy

in all honesty there is a sheet TON of topics on this site alone covering this topic.........as well as the numerous threads on other forums and youtube vids.........

watch, read, listen carefully, you are obviously doing something incorrect.........

yo. i use FL from time to time as a sound source for VST's when im stuck for sounds.

Hope you got OS1 for a start. makes life easier having mmc and PC / Prog controls for midi.

I have my mpc hooked upto mixer. mixer goes to audio interface, interface to PC.

for midi
Midi keyboard to mpc, mpc to audio interface or midisport.

now.

Audio interface will play the vst sound right, so i have my audio interface outputs going into the mixer, and a subsend on the mixer going back to my mpc.

My main speakers i run out of my mixer.

This way you hear both the mpc and the PC through the mixer, all you need do now is send the pc sound down a subgroup to the mpc inputs and record.

Hope you have a mixer!

theres a great diagram out there somewhree if i find it i'll be sure to link you.

edit: just read the OP. You need an audio interface. haha
