Hi

Sorry about making a new topic about this. But I could not find anything about my specific problem (The FAQ sticky is outdated!!)

Anyhow. I have installed JJOS2XL (did not need to get OS1 first btw) But I have not sent an e-mail regarding my password. Because I was wondering that, if I update my MPC 1000 RAM from 16mb to 128mb, will I need to install JJOS2XL again (i.e get a new password)? Or can I install my new RAM, and the JJOS2XL will still be there (no new product ID) ?

Would be very helpfull with a fast response, since I'm getting my RAM today, and would like to send the e-mail regarding my password asap.

Sincerely yours,

JoiBeats

RAM doesn't affect your MPC ID in any way. All will be fine.

Thanks for the quik reply, m:t:c. Sadly, I'm now on the verge of shedding a couple of tears. I got the RAM, thought I'd install it (still waiting on Tokyo to wake up, so i can get my password) and BAM; CPU Adress error pops up. Currently doing a check on the memory. If that dosen't do anything, I thought I'd give it try and take out the RAM install the free version of JJOS or maybe even the Akai OS, and then install the RAM again. Does anyone know if this will work? And is it common having problems after RAM upgrade on the MPC?

Update: Forget it, of course I mangede to buy a CL2 card not CL3. Damn me.

CL2 should be fine. Just make sure it's a256mb chip. Or it could just be a bad chip. Or it could just need to be reseated.
