GRID Mode, notes outside standart 36-99 (C1-D#6) range?

how do you guys work with notes outside of the (C1-D#6) range?
I got A0 notes in a track, and when I go to grid mode I can not edit them (even though I set the A1 pad to 33 A_0). I can see the notes if I press ALL Pad, but then I can't edit them. Am I stuck with SEQ EDIT?

turn the track type to MIDI

unfortunately you cant select separate notes in MIDI tracks like you can in DRUM tracks. I needed to select and copy/paste only the A0 notes. Anyway that's not a very big prob. I'll use SEQ EDIT for now.

funny, i wonder why i never have that issue in my workflow
probably because i don't pattern my drums in MIDI tracks, only drum tracks
seq edit it is, then. grid edit's ugly but talented cuzzin

sometimes I use my Yamaha RM1x for the drum sounds and it's got like an octave below C1 filled with samples, so if I happen to use one of them in my sequence then I bump into this out of range problem. Other times when I record bass lines I prefer to edit them in DRUM grid mode, same out of range problem.

Yes, you can.
Hit OVERDUB in Grid Edit MIDI Window. Do not hit play, you will notice that the OVERDUB light will be on and you can now scroll through the notes in your track and edit MIDI notes individually. Do not hit play in this mode, just use data wheel to scroll through track, and when you put cursor over a note F5 will change from mute to EDIT.

You hit F5 edit and have a note highlighted, and then cursor will jump to top of screen and will show note time placement, MIDI note number, note duration, and velocity. So it has everything you need to edit a MIDI track.

If you have chords and multiple notes at once then press up cursor key to highlight the above or below notes. It defaults to lowest note.

I know that, but what I meant was not individual note events but rather all note events of one pitch, e.g. in GRID mode you can use the data wheel to select all C_3 notes, you can't do that in MIDI tracks.

bottom of the window in a midi track?

no in delete window, down bottom is midi note range

i should have said in other post to not OVERDUB sorry, hit RECORD instead. my bad
