jjos stream from cf card? can i transfer my cf card onto ano

so i have a 2500 with jjos 2xl, all my OS's are on that flash card, the akai one and i want to say there is 2 jjos on it.

if i eject this card, will my mpc run without it? it doesnt stream the os off of the card every time does it?

the reason i ask is, im going on a trip for awhile, and am debating bringing my 2500, but i will probably buy a 1k while im gone. if i get that shipped up to me, and i need to load the jjos with my 2500 projects on it, i could probably just bring the CF card with me right?

moreover, could i use the jjos thats already on my card (provided i pay for the new os to register it on my 1k) to load up onto my 1k that way?

i just want to load up my card with a few projects (in progress) from my 2500, and only bring the cf card, then load up jjos 2xl onto my future mpc 1k from there.

would this work out?

i just dont want to bring my CF card with my 3 OS's from my 25k on my trip with me, and then when i buy the 1k os, i get them mixed up somehow.

could i just drag them in another folder labeled 2500 os, or do they have to be out of a folder when the mpc is in use?

jjos installs to RAM so once its in then you're good and you can delete whatever installer file exists if you want to.

as i said i havent tried porting 2500 <=>1000 so no idea if it'll work, but i think it will, and perhaps someone who's tried will chime in.
