Retail locations for new 2500?

Not necessarily planning on buying a new 2500, however when looking around for used ones I've found people sticking to ridiculous prices for their older/[ab]used units.

Cheapest I've found so far was at HTFR: http://www.htfr.com/p/201670/akai_mpc25 ... ion_centre which works out to about $1080, $1150 shipped (new unit).

I keep getting offers for $1000+ for used units from craigslist/classifieds, which is kind of silly considering I can get a brand new unit with warranty for slightly more. Can't really find any reasonable deals on ebay that will ship to me, either.

Anyone have any other online suppliers that has them for around this range? At the very least it may help me haggle a bit with those taking the piss for their old hardware.

Yup, just wait it out. Craigslist and Ebay can be your best friend. Some one is bound to put a 2500 for under $1000. Cus no matter where you look online "especially" online stores are ALWAYS going to overprice it. Sooo be patient.

Ended up ordering that new unit from HTFR (£700 [~1090.00 USD]) shipped. I also got the appropriate Teac laptop IDE drive (DW-224E) and Samsung PC 133 144PIN CL3 SODIMM 256MB RAM from ebay for £19.31 [30.22 USD]! Very Excited.

Probably going to end up getting the fat black pads from mpcstuff as well.

well.. most likely as soon as these three new mpc vst controllers come out the 2500 is going to probably be the new "vintage" classic that sells for a ridiculous price like i've seen people selling the 3000 for .. $3000 smh.. who'd really want that dinosaur of a headache of a machine? i'm not into vintage unless it's cars and wine.. all my old equip is in fact.. OLD EQUIPMENT! only diff feel is that sp12 but akai got that beat a long time ago. lol.. yeah jump on it for 1000 cause when they stop making them.. their gone for good.. i got mine.
