Hey Everyone,
I'm new to MPC's as a whole. Being a guitar player I had until recently written them off as a way for non-musicians to "fake" music. After doing a bit of research I now see the potential and power of these machines and have developed a profound respect and appreciation for the devices themselves as well as their users. After doing a bit of research I decided on purchasing the 5000. I like the idea of having on board HD recording as well as a synth along with the general capabilities of a MPC. After delving into forums and discussions i've become a bit apprehensive. I guess my main concern is this... Is the 5000 a reliable, expressive machine. I've read quite a bit about buggy OS's and what not. I know the 5000 came out about 4 years ago but I still prefer this to something like the renaissance. I should also mention I know this may be excessive for a first time user but i'm a capable musician working at a music store and I got a superb discount
Thoughts?
