I realized something when using your software. When i clicked on the pads to audition the sound, the big kid in me started to click then fast enough to start making a drumbeat. I wondered since you speak with people from akai sometimes, I wondered why they haven't did something like make a 800x600 grapphic of an mpc with a very close spec. sequencer, emulation of the previous hardware models, and burrow adavanced midi technology from emagic or motu. Or make an updated version of asq10, a mpc 1000 minus the sound engine with more midi jacks and a slightly larger screen for piano roll and drum grid editing. I know I have my head in the clouds but I use my sequencer, note repeat, drum pads 99% of the time and the built in sampler about 1%.

dat is what the mpd is for its the pads, minus the sequencer/sampler, so you can sequence MPC style on a software one. Id think the reson that MPC 3000 dont offer his wares to akai is that he wants to own them still and I bet akai would wanna buy it outright and not license it.

yeah you right. I think akai's current answer to thr MPC/computer thing is the Mpd.

can someone sxplain exaclty how the MPD works.....like with what software(Reason, CEP, FL, SoundForge....) and how do you assign sounds to pads?

By EntouRAJ Thu Nov 13, 2003 10:45 pm
does it come with its own software for this and sequcning type of stuff?

If I don't answer this one correctly, I don't mind being corrected. The Mpd dosen't come with it's own sequencing software. It's a controller much like a keyboard one but it operates like our mpc pads and has similar buttons to change its options. I think I comes with driver and setting software.
