how to find the right bpm?

I'm not sure if you have JJOS2XL but if you do try this...... Load the sample into the edit/trim window and set it to loop after 1 to 2 measures/bars. Now select the timestretch function and hit Tempo, then hold down any pad and count how many beats are in your sample in each measure I.e. 1mea.=4 beats, 2mea.=8 beats etc. Select the correct number of beats then hit Manual then it will tell you the Bpms where it says original tempo (remember that #), then hit cancel go to the main screen and change the Bpm to the timestretched Bpm and you should be set. Now go back and chop the sample and set the release to 35 and play it to the tempo and tweek the tempo to make them play nice together. Once everything is recorded raise and lower the tempo slightly to get it perfect and that should set you up. Let me know if it works out.....peace.

** If your loop points aren't set correctly or your sample ends in the middle of the wave form it may give you a slightly inaccurate Bpm, but it will be close. Also if it says 120.......3 as the original tempo, add the ......3 in the tempo to fine tune your tempo and keep your sample in time.

play ur cut on a track and let it loop then adjust the tempo till it syncs
if the tempo goes way out there then u probably gotta add or delete some bars

p.s. if u adjust the pitch u can also change the speed of the cut allowing you to make the sample faster or slower
