Akai is really LISTENING!!

@xparis: hi, thanks for answering our questions. you seem to know a lot about the software part in old mpc's and the new mpc computer software.
Can you tell us if Akai plan to sell the mpc software version without renaissance/studio hardware? At least as a deal for registered mpc owners?

Same here! If it ain't a power outage or a component install, my computers will be on for months straight. Only time I turn them off is when I go on vacation for multiple days. I barely even reboot them, unless an app install/uninstall forces me to.

no plans to sell the software by itself as of now.

Hey, I own both MPCs and Native Instruments Maschine. One feature that Maschine has that would surely put the Renaissance over all controllers out there is if it would be possible to drag/drop midi/audio from the plugin to the DAW. Machine allows this but it's not user friendly where you have to manually separate midi channels and whatnot.

Also if it would be possible to save the automation that you are doing with the knobs throughout the recording process if not possible already. I've been with MPCs since the 2000 and I plan on getting the Renaissance. I just hope you guys make it throughly standalone, as well as greatly DAW integrated.

The great unity of analog and digital can finally be understood with this remarkable consistant engineering throughout the decades from AKAI. And forget all the ratty kids taking jabs, I thank both Akai and Native Instruments. Friendly competition is what shares both peace and progression. And thanks for the info on the hardware/software so far keep it up!
