Midi note 36 lowest possible?

Hello, I am new to the forum and new to the MPC. I have been working with one for a couple of weeks and I am vexed by the fact that you can not sequence a midi note below 36? This can not be correct. I am controlling external synths and would love to be able to sequence low bass lines via the 3000. Is there a work around?

It's only the pads that dont go below note number 35.
You can still sequence lower notes and record them from external devices ( MIDI keyboards,etc)
If you really wanted to use the pads you could record a pattern using the pads and then transpose down.

Gottcha. Funny thing is the only keyboard I have here is an old JX-3P and it will not go below A1

That's weird. Doesn it start at C2 when not transposed ?

On JJOS2XL I know you can start the pads at midi note 0 or 01. I had to make a template for my 2500 to control Beatmaker 2 iOS through an Alesis I/O Dock. For some reason Intua mapped the pad banks starting with the lowest note numbers.
