so i've been interested in making sandwiches for some time now... i've been a fan of subway, quiznos, and all that kinda sh!t... but i'm a bit of a noob to this sandwich-making stuff...

so far my setup consists of a loaf of white bread, a tomato, some pickles, ham, swiss cheese, lettuce and mayonnaise. i'm saving up to get some mustard and pepperoni as well, but an employee at subway said i can get by with what i've got so far...

so here's the problem... i'm clueless on how to get this setup working... so i'm looking for some suggestions on how to put it all together. so far i've tried putting mayonnaise on the ham and putting a pickle on top, but when i bit into it there isn't any bread. i also tried chopping up the tomato, but it doesn't seem to slice properly like i've seen in other people's sandwiches on youtube.

again, i'm new to this sandwich making stuff, so please don't tell me to read a cookbook as i can't find what i'm looking for in "the joy of cooking" and i swear that book is like reading a foreign language with the oven temperatures and all that stuff that's still way over my head.

please tell me how to make this sandwich before i starve to death.

PUH LEEEZ HELP MEEE!!!

But in all seriousness...you should maybe just start out with one of these:

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Handy-Gourmet ... gMethod=rr

as doing it by hand may be too far over your head at first.

Also, have you checked out the George Foreman quesadilla maker? I think it may be a bit over your budget, but...you only live once. 8)

i'm saving up for pepperoni and mustard still... so those other things will have to wait... they are out of my budget still and seem a bit too overwhelming for me to learn... i wouldn't know where to start and how to plug it in, etc... maybe if they came with the sandwich already made and toasted inside i could figure it out from there, but i'm still learning the basics for now...

so far i can open the jars of mayo and pickles, and lay the ham flat... but that's as far as i've been able to get... i'm still learning so don't act like you weren't once in my position... we all have to start somewhere.

does anyone else have some advice or videos they can point me to so i can finally become a professional sandwich king in the near future? it's my dream and i know that i can make it come true and soon make sandwiches just like jared at subway.

also... does it make a difference if i bought Wonder Bread or not??? because i just called up subway and they told me that they don't use wonder bread... they said that they bake their own bread. WTF!!??? how come no one said this at the grocery store? how much will that affect the sandwich if i didn't bake my own muthaf#$king bread!? i am so lost... all i want is to eat sammichez every day and all i'm getting is stressed out and hungry now... maybe someone can send me some sammichez they made so i can look at them and get a better idea... please help a noobie out.

Not sure how you can compare the learning, executing and mastering of an MPC to a sandwich.

Not defending noobs or anything but everyone started somewhere and not everyone is as intelligent or logical as the next man.

If they were, then nobody would ever have the experience of eating a shit sandwich would they?

Very easily.

Noobs love sammichez but they don't care about making them. They only want to know what types of pickles are "the best" and what does the pickle jar actually look like cause there are so many at the grocery store. I know the guys at WAY of SUB always talk pickle but do they even KNOW pickles. I mean do they even have a clue that pickles are actually cucumbers? Know pour pickles people. Learn how to chop and slice them.

@mastasteez... did anyone here say anything about a sh!t sandwich? wtf man!!?? i swear this board is full of smart dummiez like you... matter of fact i just reported you to a moderator here and if you keep it up i'll be forced to tell mpc-tutor as well... so cool your jets, buddy. i already said i'm a noob, so no need to make fun of me.

i do have another question though... someone just told me about a product made from some dudes in texas called DA SAMMICH THANG... i noticed it has buttons for every type of sammich i'd ever like to eat... has anyone here ever used one? i may have to put the mustard on hold and save up for this as all i want in life is to become another one of the infamous SAMMICH KANGZ. best-buy here i come!!!

also, i was just checking out the YOUR SAMMICH section of this forum and there are some real pros here... you guys are making me so damn hungry it's not even funny... maybe i'll have to double post this thread over there as it seems to be where all the real sammich makerz are... unlike all you noob-hating non-sandwich having punks that enjoy making fun of people that are just like you were once years ago.
