I was actually very found of maschine and everything was great until i heard about the rennasancd cominv out so i admidently solc maschine. This was kinda a mistake since the ren wont drop for months now and now my sampling has been left alone and im goinv threw withdrawls and need to bang on pads. Im very impatient and now have throw the mpc 5000 or 2500 jjos into concideration but need some very fast and similar to maschine work flow. My sampling work flow was to sample a entire song and chop it all up and then only select the right type of drums by auditioning while the chop seq was playin. Not sure if the jjos can do this but i now the 5000 can audition single samples while playing. The most important thing was while choppin in maschines the chops were already assigned to pads so while i sampling mode i was able go get a feel for each sample and edit it if i didnt like that chop. As i recall i saw a youtube vid ov the jjos that has the similar feature but not sure if the 5000 does. Id would really have to get used to the workflow of the mpc since i never had one long enough to know it in depth and coming from maschine im sure it Will be a challange. I have a motif xs,fantom xr,korg r3 and this is part of the reason of switching to a drum machine with midi i/o. So here i am confused of what best suites me and what im used to and need current users to give advice what may be better. Oh and i atcaully can get the rennasance for half price cause i have a frienc who works at best buy who can discount it for me so thats another finger twirler there dam hate this. I could buy a used mpc now and learn the work flow on it and when the ren drops ill sell either the 5000 or 2500,sure i might those a bit of money but at least ill be trained up.
