do not take this the wrong way, but it sounds like there's too much talk and not enough practice/experience going on here.

get yourself a 1000 or 2500 with jjos2xl. integrate it properly into your DAW and you have something that beats all other current options on the market. i have read so many anecdotes across this forum that praise jj's workflow over all others. go as deep or as shallow as it takes to make the music you want to make. treat your DAW as an extension of your MPC.

so far, the only thing that really and truly differentiates these new "integrated" controllers over a well integrated jj setup is the "hype" feature. i am open to being proven wrong.

Well I actually still gotta have my daw.open anys to moniter my motif,fantom and r3, but how exactly do people set there system up that way? How to have your mpc as master and slave 3 synths and your daw for vsts., ThIs would be no different than really working on maschine anys but it would get me used to the mpc and get me ready for the ren when it drops.

Don't know and tbh atm don't really care. Only time will tell how well these new MPControllers will fare.

But to be fair and balanced...the same hype can be said about the JJ OS.

jj hype = user experience, infinitely more valuable than reading specifications, forums, polls, and feature lists. as mentioned before, "grid edit" is a feature, but implementations vary extraordinarily. compare the 2500 stock akai os grid edit to the grid edit in jjos2xl.

i think m.t.c. said it best just a minute ago, only time will tell.

I definitely agree user experience is valuable...which is why I look forward to seeing others try it first hand.

But still...every product will have their fanatics...and being as such makes people look at their favorite kit through rose-tinted glasses.

There was a thread about it in the NI forums. Basically they said they did the same sort of sale when the 1.1, 1.5, 1.6 updates dropped. This was done to clear out inventory of the old boxes.

biased user/owner looks thru rose-tinted glasses, level headed user can observe and acknowldge cons and pros...fanatic falls into biased user category as they mostly see pros and no cons
