anyone know if there are decent tutorials (video or text) or an easier-to-follow manual for the jj os2xl? the only one i have seen that is great is stan steez's unofficial official jjos 1 and 2 manual, but it doesn't seem to apply to newer os2xl functions. the one at the jj site is pretty difficult to follow, i've been trying, and i will continue until something better comes along. please let me know. thanks.

You can always convert the pages from the JJ site into a PDF.
This will give you an easy to follow OS2xl manual with about 208 total pages that you can even print.

just look at the pictures on every page, and ask questions here. the jjos community IS the jjos manual.

the online manual at biglobe is actually pretty good and easy to follow - if you don't get it, it just shows that you're missing some core MPC concepts. don't get discouraged, and post up stuff here. i have a doctorate in Jenglish.

Well said Nym. :)

Yes the manual can be confusing in the way that it's worded. It does take some time to get familiar with the Japanese to English translation, especially for those who speak or read English as a second language. So if something makes absolutely no sense, we're willing to help, as many of us are familiar with how to interpret the translations with a fair amount of ease. :)

Anyone here who's read a few old Roland manuals from the '80s knows what I'm talking about. It's good mental exercise after a while.

hey lightening thats another thread yeah. But I will answer you.
Programs do not save the effects. saving the program just saves the program and its settings like pad assign, Filter, Amp ect. The FX are saved in the project files. So you will hae to save all for FX to be saved. If you look at your saved programs they will be all saved but the FX will not be right as its not saved. So yeah save all 1
