How is it called and how to apply it to a sample on a 2500 ?

I want to take a short sample and make it longer with this effect.

I read my manual all the time but it is difficult when you don't know the technical name of what you seek to do...

Plus, english is not my first langage and my manual is in english. I do my best and:

Last week, i asked the guy in the video, DJ Truffel the Phunky Phaqir, the question.

Here is his answer:

"Its a sample i used from an old Quincy Jones record.
There are no effects (not standard) on the MPC 2000xl, only a Lowpass-filter. But you are probably looking for some LFO kind of stuff. (LFO's are also inside of synths) maybe a Chorus or something.

A tremolo IS a LFO controlling the amplitude.
