how does the 5000 differ from maschine when sampling?

....I have to add that I have changed my tune about Maschine slightly. Although there are still several features that I feel need to be added ASAP, overall its software is solid. If NI improved the hardware a bit, I bet even more die hard MPC users would take notice.

MPC is a computer, an extremely limited one at that, housed inside the controller box. Maschine should be looked at as a system where the computer and the software brain resides on a dedicated computer that the hardware controller is attached to. You keep mistaking Maschine for just the hardware controller itself. It actually comprises of both the hardware and the software, so you can't just refer to only the hardware part and refer to is as "Maschine" as you keep doing. By the way, a Maschine setup with a laptop like the Macbook Air which has a 10 hour battery, for example, is far more portable than any MPC.

Saw alot of specs of the jjos and looks like it can do more than what maschine can but maschine is just smooth in speed workflow. I dont know man Im just now seeing how this jjos can be but its just the dam limit to ram is all that thats hold the mpc back.

So see, the words are interchangeable and they are both controllers with software that works together with the hardware.

Why big up one and constantly down the other? They both do the same things in different ways, and each also have their own uniqueness.
