track mute problem

track mute problem

so ive been haveing a problem with pad triggering and track mute feature for a while like im trying to mute one perticular track and it mute 3 or 4 its only the bottom 8 pads i had a trick where i would chop a sample into 16 levels and that would sometimes trick to working then i start laying a tshirt on the pads and screen and placeing a book on top in other to warm up the machine before use needless to say these tricks are nolonger working does anyone know a different more permant why of fixing this problem would be great im running 3.06 and its an mpc 1000 orginal factory pads

16 levels has nothing to do with chopping... i think you meant 16 slices? from that point on i have no idea wtf you're talking about... :lol:

i got upto "laying a tshirt" and just laughed.

You using cotton t shirts or nylon / polyester? that will make s huge difference to the pad heat.

Typed on my phone in a rush so my bad for some mistakes in you guys are obviously to cool for this to ever happen to you my fault I should of known the level of genius I was dealing with.100percent cotton white T unlike your girls nylons that she left in the corner of my room.If anyone has any real feedback not a stupid remark bashing me I would be thankfull..

haha thats the spirit. dont let us discourage you, but do please try and re-read what you post man that OP made no sense.

when your in track mute window, in the top right corner, does it say OFF or ON ? you could have accidently recorded track mutes and its playing them back.

by that i mean. its playing back what you muted the first time it recorded.

Turn that ON to OFF if it is and carry on.

oh heeelllll naaawww... you don't come in here talking about stacking t-shirts and books on top of an mpc in order to "fix it" and then act like i'm the one in the wrong for not knowing wtf you're talking about. please explain yourself and what you're really saying/asking here. :lol:

you need to tell us the MPC1000 product code, ie BK, BK-N ect.
This way we will know about your pad problem. Older MPC1000 have a pad issue.
Ok, in case you do not know already, putting stuff n your MPC to warm up the pads has to the stupidest thing ever. Who ever told you that doing this is a good idea is an idiot. Stop listening to them now.
This is an MPC not some old analogue synth, so does not need time to warm up or respond better when warmed up. If anything you could seriously damage MPC with heat, so stop doing that straight away.
If anything this will make problem worse.
Check mute screen and se if mutes are on or off. Check sequence window as well and track mutes will be displayed here as being able to edit them to.

forget a t-shirt... stick your MPC in the microwave for a half a minute if you wanna warm it up. :idea:

i would pay to see that. :lol:
Even better have it playing some track as it slowly spins in the microwave till it explodes. Would be cool sound. Just need another sampler to record that explosion

Original red and blue and in the mute screen it's mutes more then 1track when I hit a pad on the Lower level pads 1tgru 8 9 thru 16 are fine thank you for your help

as long as you stop trying to warm up your MPC and putting books on the pads then thats a good start. Search this forum about pad replacement and pad issues. You have an older model with a pad issue.
But to make sure load a program that has samples assigned to all 1first 16 pads then if it triggers multiple pads when you hit a pad, like it does in mute screen then yes you have pad issue. If it does not act the same way then you will not have pad issue.

Yes triggers multipacks when I hit 1 neglected to mention that afte it warms up it works fine thou that's whats crazy is it old. One of first line out
