what should i get??

Hi, im pretty new...I just got my mpc 2000xl, I want to buy a keyboard....however i already have a 29-key midi controller that i used to use with fruity loops....would you guys reccomend buying a sound module and a better midi controller??? would i get mostly the same results in the end or would the sound module be better??? I'm confused and do not want to waste my money.

Dont Rush into buying all these things yet. Just learn what you have right now and see how it works out for you. When you start to master your equipment then start adding more equipment to your set up.

Me personally,i would say go with a sound module.But it's really all a matter in what you need.I mean you got a midi controller why spend doe on something that suits your needs and already know how to use well.New gear means sittin down and tryin' to really learn how to use it.Cop a module and incorporate it into your setup.IMO

so i could run the sound module...like a motif rack, to my midi keyboard....and then what run my midi keyboard to the mpc? how would that sound?? would i be able to get good sounds or what?

Yeah,you can set it up like that and as far as the sound you gotta experiment untill you get your own sound.I'm sure you got a favorite producer but stay away from what he does and do your own thing.Remember experiment, practice,practice,experiment and practice.

Word...make sure you listen to these wise words..Don't become a gear luster and make sure you use what you got to its full potential before grabbing something new. Look at my list of gear and use me and my credit card debt as an example of what happens when you rush....

thanks for the advice....im going to buy the manual off this website and go through it...spend a few months master this mpc.....I've used other beat machines in the past and have been messing around with music awhile now, just finally got the money to buy equipment i want....so im trying to figure out which module/midi controller to pick up....i think thats what im going to go with when i decide to get it.....also whats a good spot to get some raw sounds? does this website have nice ones or is there something better?? are the ones on ebay good?

i got that manual....this website sells a tutor with tips and tricks and tutorials....i was thinkin that might be a good thing to check out
