MPC Studio or MPC 2000xl

First time MPC user so was wondering which one to get. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Studio and XL. are quite different homeboy.

annnnnddd... you haven't given any information about you, your previous experience and what you want to achieve. So it's a tough one to answer.


The XL is a great machine, it's fairly simple to operate, gives you the MPC experience and feel and is fast becoming a classic imo.

Personally I have been looking for something to incorporate all the digital audio i have, and to work in tandem with my DAW. Something like Machine but without me having to learn a new set of terminology / way of working... So I am waiting, eagerly, for the Studio (not the Ren, as I already have a mean audio interface; and not tooo much spare cash)

If you're asking for advice... There's plenty of 'comparisons' around so you can have a think about what you want to achieve and go from there...

Synopsis: think about what you want to achieve - and what (if anything) you already have, get a piece of equipment that can fit around you. Don't rush into anything. Don't expect to be able to turn it on and make bangers, expect to be sat with the manual open on your lap and 14x different tabs open on your browser, searching for 'how to ...'

the real question is... do you feel like waiting 'til one comes out or do you just wanna buy a used piece of gear now? 'cause you're gonna have to wait a while for the mpc studio to come out. just sayin'...
