Mainly magic actually.
I mean that and genius.

or maybe a search on this forum and some thinking might work. If you dont have the magic or the genius that is.

Obviously you have no idea, thats not a bad thing, just do not assume we will tolerate a lack of willingness to work at it.

So how about you help us help you by being more specific and more info?
What type of sequence? I assume MIDI. SO save MIDI file then drag it of your CF card or hard drive onto your mac into your daw. If you meant record the sound then I am not going there as it will do my head in.
I hope you meant midi other wise

if saving as a MIDI file does not work for you then get some magic or genius. Or the MPC tutorials you see here on this website

yes you have tracks that can be drum, or midi. To make it easier make all tracks midi when you are doing this. just in case. Drum is like midi cept it has no midi and triggers samples from program instead . Read your manual on how to save. Give more info like specifically WHAT MPC?? What operating system? How can we help you if we have no idea what machine you are using, they are all different.
OK assume you have MPC 1000 for instance, I would look up the manual, and on page 101 of version 2 is shows you how to save a sequence. You do want MIDI right?? I still am assuming you want MIDI
razz wrote:The format of the file is .SEQ now that cannot be read by the mac unless its converted. This is the problem im having. and as far as type goes, on MPC is says "drum".
No the problem is your saving at as that instead of as MIDI.
I mean you want MIDI sequence right?
The track names will in MIDI file to. The standard MIDI sequence has drums on MIDI channle 10, but dont worry bout that. It wont contain samples or anything, just sequence info.

Dont you read my posts ?? What operating system??
Also
razz wrote:Yeah sorry for not specifying that earlier, I have an MPC 1000 and I have a macbook pro. I originally saved the sequence as "drum" so i'll just re-save it as a midi and things should be ok, right?
Dont ask me! Just try it and see for yourself. Gotta learn to learn. but yes this is MIDI sequence file that will go into mac. Or do you need some one to hold your hand every step of the way? So yeah give it a go, and if you have a problem then come back at us with a question. Learn what MIDI is. Read manual about the saveing sequence as MIDI. Forget about what tracks are, make them MIDI just in case I was saying as i have not performed this function on MPC100 in ages. Also look at getting Free JJ operating system to replace akai operating system after you have of course got to grips with everything else.
