Only listen to me if you want to know the truth about a particular product. I only discuss products that I actually own unlike so many here. When the MPC Ren is released, you can read my threads which will detail my likes and dislikes. My reviews on the MPC 1000, 2500, 4000, 5000, MV-8000, and Maschine can be located in this forum.

If I had no hardware MPC...and I was looking to add one to my studio, my first choice would be the MPC 2500. An MPC 3000 would be my first choice if it had the operating system and storage capabilities of the 2500; just a pipe dream.

Sounds like a MPC 4k to me. With ADAT, S/PDIF and WORD CLOCK. 10 digital channels. Professional grade sampler.

Yeah....if you hated the 1000, you will really hate the 5000 in my opinion. Are you sure an MPC is even what you want? If you want all the features that the maschine had, and you liked working on the maschine, I don't really understand why you want to switch to an MPC? An MPC is not going to be ''fast'' by software standards, it takes a totally different approach. If you don't have the patience for one, stick to a software controller.
