Let's hope some up and coming producers do more with the Ren than a 2 bar loop with a bit of scratching!

dj premier has been using the mpc60 and s950 for decades... i highly doubt he'll abandon that to go the software route at this point.

THEY NEED TO HAVE IT LOAD MPC 60 AND S950 .. SOUNDS AND PROGRAMS ,,, AND NOT JUST SOUNDS .. IF THEY THINK HE WILL SWITCH ..

On this video, Primo says why he still use MPC-60 & S950; because of the sampling time limitation (but you knew that already.)

see when i see pics of the ren in green lantern studio and i think of some peep complaining it looks ugly but the shit aint so far removed from the standard 2000 or 2kxl that they sing praises too, so peeps are very fickle and will not co-sign anything until it gets endorsement from someone they respect.

That's what he says, but I think he uses the S950 because of its filters.

Umm, I don't see the reason why Premo had to not give out that reason... He could've just say he like the filter on S950. I mean, I'm sure he likes the sound of S950 & MPC-60 though, but he's been consistent about the reason why he's keep using MPC-60 & S950 combo. He does use other equipment as well, but MPC-60 & S950 seem to be his main equipment still.
