I ve just tried the new cycle function. I think it would be cool to have an OFF mode (followed by MUTE,SIMULT..etc) in this tab. In my opinion it would avoid time-waisting manual unassignments.
If you have a look at the filter tab, you can turn the filter type OFF and when you turn it ON again the MPC remembers the latest entered value. It s handy.

No, sorry for the unclear explanation.

I meant by the filter example that in an another tab of GPE, there is an ON/OFF type of behavior. And it even remembers the latest value.

So imagine it applied to MUTE/SIMULT/CYCLE.

Let's say you want to play with the cycle function. You are trying different settings but at the end of the day you're not satisfied and you want to undo everything. You have to unassign everything manually because you can't leave it in the current state. If there was an OFF default behavior before MUTE it could avoid repetitive tasks.

The relationship with the filter type behavior is if you'd choose OFF it would show OFF for the "pad line" and of course would not trigger other pads and when you'd choose another behavior it would remember automatically the settings you did before.

Thanks.
When I sent this request, I was also told that there will probably be a specification change in OS3. MUTE/SIMULT/CYCLE would be compatible with "pad mode" (I think that's the direct pad assignment line in main screen). I don't know what this means concretely though.
