Do any mpc5000 owners fell like the machine is too big for t

I'm just asking because I'm thinking about getting one, it would just fit on my desk, about half of it, also does the spin dial make click sounds like the 2500? i hated that

If you've ever worked with the mpc4000, the mpc5000 seems like a slimline version compared to the 4000. I think it's the perfect size to be the centerpiece of your midi setup.

Its big and it takes over your world.The spin dial is clicky like the 2500 and a unforgivable crap mistake of akai.(It might be a little smoother than the 2.5 )but just as crap.It is a funki machine tho

The spin dial is loud and very annoying. The size of the 5000 isn't that big, in fact, when i bought it and first opened it I was surprised that it wasn't bigger.

Good point it seems like it would be bigger and it is smaller than the 4000. But when I got my 5k I had this desk

Not good enough. ALthough it may work if you take the rack off. The 5k just barely fit with the front end not sitting solid on the desk. so I got this

eventually went to this (see below) all in one desk. lot more comfy



I'd say if you have a sizeable desk where you can be comfy while using go for it but if space is an issue get the stand
