i mean that bass heave moody sound, with the pitch instability on the loop, ant that kinde 'respnant' 'telephonic' -i don't know how to describe it- equalisation.
if i sample only from vinyl, loops and breaks, and not use libraries, would it be enough?
do i need additional hardware to colour and sequence the samples, besides my yamaha su10 and my mpc 2500??
is the compination of sampling from vinyl - 90's sampler - mpc sequencing that gives that kind of sound?
most of the times studios nowadays won;t give you a sound like that because they think this sound is too old fashioned and cliche. if my samples are like this i will end up with a sound like that even if the mixing engineer tries to 'clean it uo'?
what turntable is good to achive that kind of 'pitch instability'? most turntables nowadays are very stable, aren't they? which is a thing good from the aspect of an engineer but not for me as an artist. remember, back in the day the instability in mpc 60 midi playback was considered a mistake by its engineers, but certain people fund a special feel to it.
should i track out individual tracks on tape? or recording in r2r after the mixing and then mastering it would be enough??
at last, what reverb should i use? listen to this track. i feel that it should be a hardware unit.

thank you for your time guys. this is the sound i'm after. sorry for the bad english and the noobish question but there's not the sanest thing on earth to make hiphop beats in greece, there is noone to learn from. this is a sound i'm after, and that's the reason i spend time on these forums...i'm not a producer but i am not a total noob, i 've been into mixing sessions and had my beats mixed by professionals for serious works, but i was never that close to that kind of sound, and not because from my samples. i want just some advice, but not total basic things, i'm not a professional but neither a total noob.
