1)check it out this is what i do , you find the scratch on the gruv, with your finger turn the record till you see the scratch, then take needle off record and rub your finger nail over the scratch gently then rub with finger to smooth it out a bit, when you play it you may here some static, some times you will some times you wont but at leats the record is not scratched anymore.
you can clean it with some alcohol after this it may clear up the static if there is some ,
it works for me
2)or you can try this one too, what you do put the needle on the record and turn again with your finger to find the scratch, then when you find it ,pass the scratch up half way then turn record back wards if it 's a deep gruv most likely it wont work but if it's a surface scratch it get it out,
3)same as number two but a little different, what you do is play the record this time , and when you hear the scratch you place your finger on the needle adding a little pressure so the needle cut's throu the scratch then rub your finger over the scratch to smooth out the original scratch.
hope these help,
i have been useing these for years, they work for me and at least you can hear the hole peice with out the scratch, till i fiind another way this is what i kno works and i will use.
