Mpc 2KXL sync to Cubase Thru Emu X midi 2x2

Alright I have a Mac and just purchased cubase I have everything hooked up and my interface midi out to my mpc 1 midi in and I have my mpc as my cubase slave. When I hit record on cubase my mpc plays on it's own as it should. But I don't get any sound recorded on cubase. I'm having trouble muting my built in mic on my Mac. I just want to record my song I have already sequenced on my mpc. I have the midi cock on and receive on on both sides of sync in and out but I still can't get it to record my sound. Can some one please help? Hope I was thoro

how are you taking the AUDIO out of your MPC in the computer? I ask since you don't mention anything about audio connection between MPC and computer.

I just have hard time figuring out how can be that people who buy equipment don't know the trivial difference between audio and midi.... are google servers down again?

No I Have The audio hooked up I'm not sure if its right but at this point I've tried every way possible that I could connect it.. Cubase is reading the midi but the sound from the song won't play only on my mpc it will but no sound is going into cubase...

Okay this is how I have it. I have my stereo out chords going into the inserts of my io2 and the io2 is USB and I have the USB into my Mac. But no audio is going into the laptop through to cubase. although sound is going into my io2 because the lights go up and down when I play the song. Like an equalizer... But its not recording the sound that's being processed into the io2. Btw I purchased the io2 along with cubase both together in the same package from guitar center. Oh also I can hear it on garage band but it sounds dumb distorted and I want clean shit so I can master and everything.
