Some updates...

I'm using the room as my living room and also as my home studio... which can be a little complicated at times. I often have friends over and we chill in there, play games, party, do shit... you know how it goes. So when i have people over or just want to chill by myself, i move everything to the side. Which kind of works with this setup... it's usually only a matter of a few minutes until everything is set up.

The monitor stands are the only real "studio furniture" i have. The white cubes are bedside tables from ikea with rollers at the bottom one. They have the same width as rack furniture which is nice, plus i can easily roll it to the side or wherever it needs to be. Same goes for the keyboards and MPCs... i simply move them around and set them up when i need them.

I know i should treat the room acoustically, but i guess i'm saving that for when i have a dedicated sound space someday maybe. This apartment is in an old house anyway, which means neighbours can hear everything, so most of the times it's better to use headphones.

I use the different MPCs quite randomly, most used is probably still the 500, but they all have their own appeal. The ASR is my newest addition and it looks like it's going to be my main machine for sampling... i'm digging deep in the manual and i really love this thing so far!
The s950 and emu sampler are used together with the keyboards as sound modules (i got tons of cool instruments and libraries for both of them).

This is some kind of milestone for me i guess, since i'm really content and happy with the set up as it is now. Still missing a compressor, but that's about it then... from now on it's learning the gear in and out and making music! :!:

I've never seen hardwood floors with that design before, brilliant and absolutely outstanding. I like! I remember your pics before but I didn't pay attention to the floor before.

Prior to full restoration and upgrades but... 1976 Bozak CMA-10-2DL in the house
It's a rarer early silver version with the big raised badge.

Quality input transformers for the mic inputs, these also provide a bit of gain before the active stages

Back of a phono input board. Old skool hand traced boards, these are ass holes to work on, the tracks are VERY fragile

To vinyl_junkie_1620,

I want that Bozak mixer! What did you have to fix on the mixer? did you have to replace pots (did you just clean up the pots), etc? I don't think the those pots are manufactured anymore. Please tell us about the restoring process.

To Jibber,

Damn, your room is classy... with all the dope samplers, your room looks like a sampling machine museum. By the way, do you have any of E-Mu ESI series? Is it good?
