Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Awright, I just got mine in friday of last week. There is obviously a lot to learn with this and its very overwhealming sometimes. I'm about done reading the manual and trying everything out that this dope machine does.

If, anyone has any tips or suggestions that a first time user should know, just go ahead and post them. Any useful information at all. The manual is not as clear as it could be.....so, the problems you guys ran into when you first received yours and what yo did to fix it would be good to know as well.

thanks.

Peace and Respekt

Just off the top of my head:

>Get a Zip drive, either internal or external [SCSI only]

>Get the max memory needed for sample time

>Sample in Mono [Just my opinion]

>Dig Dig Dig

>I'm sure there are plenty more things out there, but these are ones I remember from the begining.

I remember the manual was very puzzling at first to say the least. The tutorials on this site are more usefull when you start out.
One thing i struggled with for days was using more than 4 programs at a time. There's some helpfull info about this at: http://www.mpc2000xl.com/drum_program.htm

have fun
