So who is still excited about these 2 pieces of gear? Don't get me wrong I am but there's still 4 MORE MONTHS to wait!! I wish Akai wouldn't have said anything so early. Hopefully time flies!

I'm still Uber Jazzed about this. I've been wanting something like this for like seven years...

I can't wait. The only MPC I've ever owned is the 60... my next will most likely be the Renn. From looking around this forum I get the impression that AKAI hasn't really listened to MPC users for a long time, and now it seems like they finally are delivering the type of next level stuff people really want to use... which is great. Hopefully that continues and they keep updating the new MPC software based on user requests.

I'm learning Komplete 8 right now, got it a month ago and haven't had a chance to really learn it yet so when the new MP's come out things should flow...hopefully. My 2500 will receive heavy usage between now and August.

Still excited of course.....I spent approx $4000 upgrading my studio in anticipation of the MPC Ren. When my small lab is complete and the Ren arrives, I will take plenty of pics for my new pre-production set-up.

It didn't go very far....
UAD Apollo interface, ASR-10 w/ SCSI CD Rom/hard drives, Motu Mache Five 3 VST, Autotune VST, new TRS audio cables, and black blinds.

I still have to buy the Apollo Thunderbolt expansion, a new Mac (Mac Pro, Macbook Pro, or iMac), microphone, Thunderbolt hard drive, monitors, analog synth, and additional UAD plugins.....plus the MPC Ren.

UAD Apollo is also going to be the centerpiece for my future recordings. That thing is sexy!

What do u plan on using the ASR for?? I've had one for 8 years now but when I got my first MPC I never sampled with the ASR again. Now I only use it as a midi controller.

Its been a minuted since I've invested in a quality interface so I am looking forward to hooking all my gear up to it this weekend. I should have it by tomorrow.

The ASR-10 was an impulsive buy. With the number of samplers I already own, I really don't need it. But I plan on spending alot of time building drum kits from scratch. I am going to sample them into the ASR and possibly use the ASRs effects. Then process them through UAD effects and store them on my hard drive. Will it do anything meaniful to the sound? I guess we will see.

I can't wait till these new mpc's drop. I'm torn between the ren and the studio. Would like to see more videos of the studio. No room right now for a studio set up. I'll just be banging out for the love of it. It's funny because I emailed akai awhile back if they would be making a machine like this, and I got no response, until now. I use to love sequencing reason with the mpc 2000xl then the 2500 with reason. This wiil be my 5th mpc and hopefully my last. I want to learn this thing inside out and become the machine it is. By the way I owned maschine and got rid of it. Wasn't what I was looking for. I'm officially a die hard MPC user. Shout out to Jah and every one supporting the new mpc line.

+1

All the gear I've had in the past, ASR10 with no processing, drums hit the hardest, sample and play, no effects or anything, just hits harder.

Next would be my 2kxl, no drum processing, they just knock.
