questions on hooking up MPC to PC and turntables

i just got my MPC2000XL and i'm wondering where to start. i have turntables and a mixer, can anyone give info on where to start? I need to know what cables to use and what plugs go where, in order to hook up my PC to MPC and MPC to turntables. thanks

Well if you have a mixer, I suggest just hooking up your turntable to the mixer, and then running a line from the master out of your mixer into the line in/record in on the back of your MPC.

As for the cables......you can use a "Y cable" to go from the MPC OUT to your computers soundcard IN. If you're not farmiliar what that is, it's a cable that is split like a Y and one end are two RCA's and at the other end is a headphone size jack [1/8"].

I also use the same cable to sample with. Put the headphone jack into the master out of my mixer, but I have to put a 1/4" adapter onto it to fit, and then put the RCA's into the line in/record in on the MPC to sample.
